The Oil on Mesonite board was painted by eminent Singaporean artist Liu Kang in 1961. Thick paint and impasto technique was used for painting. During the aging process varnish, which was applied unevenly  turned to darker tone.  Fungal growth also damaged the paint surface. This painting was successfully restored at Benaka Art Conservation.
